04 - Immediately top each with a second graham cracker square and gently press to sandwich.
05 - Let cool for 1-2 minutes before serving, as the filling will be hot.

# Expert tips:

01 -
  • Four minutes between craving and eating—this is basically the definition of effortless nostalgia without the burnt marshmallow casualties.
  • The air fryer creates this perfect textural contrast: crispy-edged crackers, gooey chocolate, and marshmallows that get legitimately pillowy instead of sad and cold.
  • No campfire mess means everyone's happy, including whoever has to clean up afterward.
02 -
  • Those extra 30 seconds matter—I learned this the hard way when I thought 3 minutes would be faster and ended up with marshmallows that hadn't fully puffed, creating this weird rubbery texture instead of that cloudlike give.
  • The parchment paper is non-negotiable; the marshmallow will absolutely stick to a bare basket and turn into a nightmare to clean, which I discovered on my second attempt.
03 -
  • Don't overcrowd your air fryer basket—even though you can technically fit more, the air circulation suffers and you'll get uneven results that'll frustrate you.
  • If your marshmallows start turning golden but still feel a little firm inside, an extra 30 seconds is better than guessing; there's rarely such a thing as overdone marshmallows in an air fryer.
